The Ergo Baby Carrier was designed to be both comfortable and versatile. Its Ergonomic design supports baby's spine and hips in a healthy position while the padded hip belt and shoulder straps distribute the weight of the baby comfortably onto the parent's hips and shoulders.
Here are some of the key features of the Ergo's thoughtful design:
- The Ergo can carry newborns (with infant insert), babies, and toddlers (up to 40 lbs.) - so you only need one carrier for your child's early years
- The padded hip belt and shoulder straps distribute the weight of the baby comfortably onto the parent's hips and shoulders, and the shoulder straps are curved to conform around the shoulders,
- The Ergo can be worn in the Front, Back, and Hip positions - so it takes the place of multiple carriers.
- Your baby rides facing you in the Front position in the Ergo. In this way, your baby is supported in a natural, seated position which does not put strain on the crotch or spine. This is an important difference from the Baby Bjorn and other popular front baby carriers.
- The Ergo Baby Carrier has a sleeping hood so you can secure your baby's head while he/she sleeps on your back.
- The Ergo Baby Carrier is very easy to use. You don't have to take it off or get assistance to get your child in and out of it.

- 14 ounce cotton canvas for maximum durability (organic cotton used in the organic carriers)
- 400 threads per inch cotton poplin lining and hood
- 100% cotton batting in body of carrier to soften edges
- One inch, high density foam in shoulder straps
- Quarter inch high density neoprene foam in waist belt
- High Quality buckles tested by SGS
- Waist belt circumference from 25" to 43"
- Fits from 5' to 6.5' body height with adjustable shoulder and chest straps
- Sleeping hood adjusts in length to growth of baby
- Reinforcement stitching used at all fabric intersections
- Interior rip-stop reinforcements at critical intersections
- High quality black webbing
- Durability/strength tested up to 90 pounds

The Ergo Sport Carrier has a few design details that are different from the regular Ergo carrier.
- Waist belt extends an additional 5 inches from 30 inches to a maximum of 48 inches
